SEASCAPE PAINTINGS

Living by the ocean, I watch the ever-changing light on the water. These mixed media paintings are my way of capturing the seaside waves using light and texture. I paint these on larger-scale canvases, usually 30” or larger. Each painting uses layers of vintage hemp rope, canvas, lace, vintage paper and other “media” to bring a wonderful 3D texture to each work. These are each one of a kind. I don’t make prints of them. Each is slightly different bringing to mind the ocean on a peaceful evening, incoming storm, or lazy summer day.
